On Tuesday, 28th of January 2013 at 12:00 am in the PR Centre in Podgorica, a closing presentation of IPA cross-border project "Establishing Via Dinarica - introduction to regional cooperation platform" was organized.
In addition to project partners, this event was attended by the representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, USAID office in Montenegro, Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro, National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, Montenegrin Mountain Rescue Service, Mountaineering Association of Montenegro, mountaineering clubs, travel agencies, NGOs and other guests, who have taken this opportunity to learn more about the implemented project activities and achieved results.
Representatives of partners organizations (NGO Centre for Sustainable Tourism Initiatives, Extreme Sport Club Limit and USAID Montenegro) presented project activities and achieved results through set of activities:
The implementation of this project established the platform for the improvement of identified potentials of tourism offers in this region recognized as important resources in the national project Hiking and Biking and Montenegro Tourism Development Strategy to 2020. Establishing cross-border hiking and mountain biking Via Dinarica routes through joint planning and business cooperation, the potentials of rural/mountain tourism sector are identified, knowledge is increased, infrastructural and technical capacities of tourism destinations are improved, thus created the platform which will facilitate to tour operators to act more efficiently in further development of tourism offer in this region.
