From December 4th to December 8th 2006, a member of the CSTI staff attended a training in Bjelo Polje led by FORS Montenegro in partnership with InWEnt, a German capacity building organization, on Integrated Regional Rural Development and Innovative Regional Management. Building on the success of this initial seminar, CSTI was again invited and attended a second seminar entitled "Regional Marketing - Branding of Products and Regions" held from 1 to 10 March 2007, in Leipzig, Germany.
Participation in this seminar introduced CSTI to the fundamentals of Regional Marketing a critical component to the development of tourism in Northern Montenegro. In addition, the seminar provided a great opportunity for networking with individuals from the other countries of Southeast Europe, creating a foundation for future cross-border and regional economic development projects.
